HOW YOU CAN HELP
Times tables continue to be very important! Children's numeracy targets for this term are based on their knowledge of times tables. By the end of this year as a minimum Y2 children will need to know 2,5 and 10 times tables. Y3s are expected to know 2,5,10,3,4 and 8 times tables and Y4 children should know all their tables up to 12x12.
Spellings: Children will record their weekly spelling list in their spelling books and any extra time spent learning these words will be extremely beneficial.
Reading: We expect children to read at home on a daily basis. Please make sure that your child practises regularly to improve his/her skills. Even five to ten minutes a night can make a huge difference! Reading books and reading records should be in school every day. We will be awarding merits to children who have read regularly.
PE: Due to the weather conditions at this time of year, it is important that children have their full PE kit in school all week so that we can take advantage of any fine weather.
