Chamomile Class Enjoys a Trip to The Silk Museum in Macclesfield.

Chamomile class had the opportunity to explore the Silk Museum learning about how the industrial revolution affected the millworkers and the production of silk. During the visit the class was split into groups which rotated around 3 different sessions.

During the session the children were introduced to artefact handling.  They explored a number of artefacts linked to the Silk Industry being encouraged to investigate them and ask questions of them. 

Finally, the children enjoyed having the opportunity to show off their creativity by making their very own rag rug.
